Virginia "Jinny" Clark (1913-1979) was a decorative painter known for her whimsical, richly detailed designs. Her artistic journey began in 1945 with a hand-painted child's bed and soon expanded to include murals, furniture, trays, and other everyday objects. After moving to Hudson in the 1930s, she became a beloved part of the local arts community. Following the death of her husband, she turned her passion into a profession, creating playful, nature-inspired scenes with brilliant Thalo paints and delicate brushwork. Jinny also brought her artistic flair to Western Reserve Academy, where she worked in the library and crafted imaginative displays. Her style-vibrant, textured, and distinctly her own-captured the joy and originality she brought to everything she touched.
