Thank you for visiting Drawn Together: Women Artists of Hudson.
We received such enthusiastic responses to the exhibit during our planning which led to the generous loaning of numerous art pieces and helped to make this exhibit a reality. We are extremely grateful to Peg’s Foundation and its staff for their support and efforts on our behalf and to the Friends ofDrawn Together who helped in ways large and small.
The dream for this exhibit began during a dinner discussion and continued over the course of several years. Reminiscing uncovered just how many of our memories of this charming town were ‘illustrated and colorized’ in our minds’ eyes by the group of women artists featured in Drawn Together - women who were neighbors, mothers of classmates or contemporaries of our parents. These artists, through their creativity and endeavors taught us to appreciate a particular color palette, the history of Hudson and its architecture, and the natural beauty of the area. Many of us were inspired by these artists to be creative ourselves. Through Drawn Together we wanted for this art to be ‘newly discovered’ by younger generations as well as to revive special memories for those who already appreciate it as much as we do.
Our complete Drawn Together dream further includes a permanent Museum somewhere in town; one that would tell the story of Hudson through interesting objects and art. If you have any interest in helping to support such an undertaking, please contact us with information provided below.
